Abstract:
I will give a brief survey of the most recent results that relate to the classical Bochner Technique. The focus will be on restrictions on Betti numbers and holonomy coming from curvature conditions that are based on (weighted) averages of eigenvalues. Both the standard curvature operator and the curvature operator of the second kind will be used.
