Among the open problems for the Schramm-Loewner Evolution (SLE) suggested by Oded Schramm in his 2006 ICM talk is that of obtaining \"reasonable estimates for the speed of convergence of the discrete processes which are known to converge to SLE.\" In this talk, I will give an introduction to SLE and discuss how to obtain a rate of convergence of loop-erased random walk to SLE(2). This is joint work with F. Johansson Viklund (Columbia Univ.) and M. Kozdron (Univ. of Regina).
