L^2 extension problem is a natural problem in several complex variables which is arose from Cartan\'s global theory on Stein manifolds and L^2 method. After Ohsawa-Takegoshi established L^2 extension theorem, the problem with optimal estimate is left open. In this talk, we\'ll present some recent results on this problem and their applications.
