We consider the focusing generalized KdV equations with slightly $L^2$ supercritical nonlinearity. We will use the self-similar profile constructed by Koch to prove the existence and stability of a blow up dynamics with self-similar blow up rate in the energy space $H^1$. We will also give a specific description of the formation of singularity near the blow up time.
